Nothing But Good News Radio: A Pilgrimage to the Heart of Where You Are

posted by:

Since everything is sacred, staying close to what is sacred is a matter of presence and attention more than travel to some secret place. In essence, staying close is a pilgrimage to the heart of where we are. Since it is we who lose our directness of living, our task is often to restore that freshness of being alive.

Stories help us. They are teachers. They are medicine. They keep us connected to what matters. They keep us awake. This has always been true.

Those who wake are the students.
Those who stay awake are the teachers.

Nothing But Good News Radio: The Strength of a Community

posted by:

“Music is a gift of the Universe, meant to be shared with all mankind. It is the universal language of earth, and our solar system. I share it with you, and through my charity work, benefit those in need. In this positive spirit I have published my music.” – Don Lampansone

Don Lampasone began studying music at age five. By the time he was twelve, he played in his first country rock quintet called the “Night Caps” and recorded a single and continue performing on the electric organ and piano. In 1970, he was hired by Wurlitzer to perform on their pianos and organs in New York. He formed a Quintet and recorded two cover albums and currently composes and records in his home studio daily and has five albums on the internet.

But there’s more to Don than just music. An avid philanthropist, Don strongly believes in giving back to the community.

This month, Don is helping to put on a fundraising event for the Red Cross. Kandee G has agreed to be the emcee for this event.

“Giving back to your community is an important part of life,” said jazz pianist Don Lampasone. “I believe that music is a gift and should be shared with all. The Red Cross is a community partner that is always there whether it is down the street, across the country or around the world.”

Join Kandee G and Don as they liven up the airwaves with some hot jazz music and talk about community and what it means to be part of one.
