The London Story
Kandee G was speaking at a personal development conference in London. This conference had about 1000 attendees, a mixture of sales professionals and
entrepreneurs. These attendees were so eager to hear the wonderful gems of wisdom that Kandee G had to share that they arrived an hour before the official start time.
About 15 minutes into her presentation, Kandee G asked the attendees “How many people heard of Napoleon Hill, author of Think and Grow Rich?”, about 700 attendees raised their hands. She then asked “How many people bought his book, Think and Grow Rich?”, 300 attendees raised their hands. She continued with her penetrating query, and posed the following: “How many people that bought the book actually read the book?”, only 60 people raised their hands.
Kandee G continued her quest for truth and delivered the final question to the crowd: “How many people that read the book actually applied the principles?” Out of the 60 people that read the book, only 2 individuals raised their hands. Yes, you read correctly, only 2 people actually applied the principles they read about in the book. Although this may sound astounding and may be unexpected from 1000 "anxious to learn" attendees at a personal development conference, it is the nature of what we usually do when we hear or learn about great information.
